After my last rather serious post I thought I better write something you are probably here for…a beauty product review.
A good eyeliner, suitable for achieving the perfect winged flick is not easy to come by. In the past I always used Mac Blacktrack, before I decided to ditch anything that was tested on animals or made with synthetic ingredients.
I always loved how easy it was to control backtrack and for ages I had to persevere with tricky liquid liners which may have been toxin free but just didn’t perform particularily well.
About six months ago one of my favourite natural make-up brands RMS launched their ‘Vintage Cake’ eyeliner. I hadn’t used a cake eyeliner since makeup school (many years ago) and it got a little getting used to again.
Applying a cake liner is a wonderfully nostalgic process. You simply wet a fine makeup brush a little and swirl it into the eyeliner. This allow you plenty of control over how thick or runny the product should be.
Unlike many of the liquid liners I’ve been trying and failing to get along with, this one goes on smoothly and doesn’t bleed. Ok it may not stay-put quite as long as the redundant Mac product it replaced but the staying power is pretty good when you consider it has no synthetic nasties in it at all.
It definitely has a place to stay inside my kit and personal makeup bag. You can purchase the eyeliner here
